Located at the picturesque Ulley reservoir but only 5 minutes drive from J33 of the M1. USC is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre so we are able to cater for all abilities of sailor. If you are a complete novice or an advanced sailor, come down to the club and see what Ulley has to offer. We offer pleasure sailing during all of our operating hours. Our typical racing days are Wednesday evenings and all day Sunday. Saturdays are usually reserved for training, open events and pleasure sailing. RYA Sailing Courses
As an RYA Training Centre, Ulley Sailing Club offers everybody the chance to have a go at sailing.
Whether you’re a member of the public or a member of the Club there are different ways that you can get involved.
If you’re unsure whether sailing is for you, you may wish to book onto one of our half-day “Sailing Experience” sessions. You will be introduced to sailing by one of our experienced, competent members who will run through the basics and take you for a sail. You may even get to take the helm yourself and be able to sail a simple course by the end of the session.

RYA Powerboat Courses
Our powerboat training is offered to members only as the size of the water limits us on course availability
A fairly new venture for the club is our RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses.
This two day course provides a level of training that is ideal for anyone from the casual weekend user through to some commercial users.
Pending interest we can also offer RYA Safety boat courses which trains competent powerboat drivers in fleet rescue and the techniques required when rescuing small craft. It is useful for those wishing to assist with rescue cover at their sailing club and is also a pre-requisite for the RYA Senior Instructor course.

Why become a member of Ulley Sailing Club?
We are 100% volunteer run, keeping costs down and making for a great “team” atmosphere. We offer affordable training for all members, fun casual sailing as well as racing, plus multiple social events throughout the year. We have club boats for hire or bring your own (on-site secure boat storage available). We like to take part in sailing events such as Filey Regatta and other events and trips.

Youth Squad
Members under 18yrs old are encouraged to attend our Youth Squad fun training sessions. These sessions are held one Saturday afternoon each month throughout our main season. Rain or shine, wind or no wind our youth members get together, have some fun and improve their sailing with support from our qualified RYA instructors and other experienced members.
Club Boats
Members have access to club boats at minimal cost. These boats include Lasers, RS Qubas, RS Teras, RS Visions, Enterprise, a Hansa access boat and more.
